And the Nominees Are...JANUARY 13, 2003 — Out of more than 500 eligible titles, 500 DVD Premiere Academy members winnowed 225 nominees in 23 categories down to the winners. Slap Shot 2: Breaking the Ice has received nine nominations, to tie with Gang Tapes for the most nominations for a live action movie.So after 26 years in the movie business and two films later, we finally know what it feels like to say, "It's an honor just to be nominated," because we've been nominated in the Best Supporting Actor (in a DVD premiere movie) category. We never thought we'd hear our names mentioned along with Joe Don Baker, Gary Busey, Steve Buscemi, David Hemmings, and Jeremy Piven after the presenter says, "and the nominees are...
